Yodel and DG International forge global parcel partnership

Freight forwarder DG International has partnered with Parcel carrier Yodel to launch a global outbound service for UK retailers.

The International service has been developed with the intention of providing home delivery services to over 200 countries for parcels up to 30 kilograms.

The service offers full customer support and end-to-end tracking via the Yodels website using a single reference number.

“Global internet penetration is increasing and our new international service has been designed to enable retailers to open their online stores up to emerging markets that they possibly hadn’t considered before, as well as those already established.” Claims Duncan Lee, director of international business development at Yodel.

Transit times may vary from 3-5 days for European parcels and 6-10 days for the rest of the world.

“With the spread of internet technology, the opportunities for retailers to enter new territories such as Israel and Saudi Arabia and offer customers a truly end to end service are really exciting. Cross-border distribution capability is a crucial component for UK e-commerce businesses, with consumers around the world expecting the same level of service as those based locally.” Says James Appleby, managing director of DG International.
