Turkish Cargo renews IATA CEIV Pharma certificate

Turkish Cargo has extended the validity period of its IATA CEIV (Center of Excellence for Independent Validators) Pharma certificate to 2022.

Trainings for renewal period of the certificates, obtain initially in 2016 was valid for a period of three years, were planned with the Turkish Airlines Aviation Academy, and completed following the audits by IATA.

The extension of the certificate covers both Turkish Airlines and its cargo arm and Istanbul Ataturk Airport (ISL) station.

Turkish Cargo flies critical medicinal products such as medicines, vaccines, biotechnological products, diagnosis samples, sensitive medical devices, organs, tissues, and other pharma related shipments.

The carrier operates a special cargo storage facility of 3,500 square metres, using active temperature-controlled Envirotainer and CSafe containers, the electrical air-conditioning container Opticooler, Thermal Dolly and disposable thermal sheets.
