A FedEx worker at the company’s integrator hub at Memphis airport was killed over the Thanksgiving holiday in an incident ruled as an accident.
The accidental death of Ellen Gladney marks the third worker killed at the facility in just over three years.
Police were called to the facility just after midnight on Thanksgiving Day and found the employee under a conveyer belt system that was unloading a FedEx freighter aircraft.
Investigations have been opened by the state as to how the accident occurred and what led to the worker losing their life.
FedEx released a statement of condolence after the accident.
