Shipway Argentina, were recently involved in an air freight shipment of two large units from Bariloche, Argentina to Abuja, Nigeria.
The main unit was a radar system with dimensions of 6.10 (L) x 2.44 (W) x 2.59 (H) meters and a weight of 6,500 kilograms, whilst the secondary unit was an operators shelter which featured the same dimensions but a greater weight of 7,650 kilograms.
Both units were moved from their client’s premises to the international airport of San Carlos de Bariloche, due to be loaded into a Hercules C-130 provided by the Argentina Air Force.
The Hercules made three technical stops before reaching the final destination as follows: Iguazu (AR), Natal (BR), Cape Verde (CV) and finally Abuja (Nigeria).
