Rhenus Air & Ocean has been awarded the International Air Transport Association (IATA) CEIV Pharma certification at its Amsterdam Airport Schiphol station.
In 2018, the forwarder started the process of obtaining the certification by reviewing its procedures for the handling of temperature-controlled shipments, optimisation of facilities, training of staff and assessing procedures by independent validators.
Rhenus Air & Ocean managing director, Frank Roderker said by obtaining CEIV Pharma it can “adequately respond to pharmaceutical companies who are looking for a reliable logistics provider for the secure, safe and efficient shipment of their time and temperature-sensitive products”.
