Panalpina makes changes to its executive board after DSV merger

The executive board of Panalpina has been dismantled as part of the merger with fellow freight forwarder DSV.

The positions of chief commercial officer (CCO), chief legal officer (CLO), chief information officer (CIO), executive vice president (EVP) air freight and EVP ocean freight have all been removed.

Kuehner has been appointed as EVP charter network and perishables at DSV Air & Sea after losing his role as EVP air freight.

CCO Karl Weyeneth, CLO and corporate secretary Christoph Hess, CIO Ralf Morawietz, and EVP ocean freight Peder Winther, have also given up their current executive board roles.

Hess will continue in a position in Group Legal in DSV Panalpina and has been nominated by the former board of directors in accordance with an undertaking of DSV in the transaction agreement to serve as an observer to the DSV Panalpina A/S Board of Directors for a period of up to 12 months from the settlement.

Karl Weyeneth is expected to continue in a senior position at DSV Panalpina. Morawietz and Winther have left.
