Frank Van Gelder has been active within the air cargo industry for the past 11 years. With a background in health care and being active for 15 years specifically in acute logistic processes in direct patient care within the University Hospital of Leuven, Frank joined Adelantex as business manager, where he was especially involved in the quality improvements of high sensitive products such as food, pharmaceuticals and live animal transports by air. Recently he has been appointed as the Secretary General of Pharma.Aero, a cross industrial foster organization improving the life science airfreight industry.

Trevor Caswell joined the Edmonton International Airport (EIA) in 2017 with the Air Service Business Development Unit. In his role, Trevor is responsible for effectively executing air service development priorities, while cultivating strong relationships with the freight forwarder and business community, airline partners and key stakeholders at the airport. Trevor has held various roles in aviation for over 19 years, including VP of Airport Services, Director and Manager Roles. He has over 12 years’ management experience in domestic and international logistics including air, ocean, rail, and truck freight.  Trevor led Edmonton International Airport (EIA) to be the first IATA CEIV Certified Community Airport in Canada and third in North America. He sits on the Board of Directors for Pharma.Aero as Vice-Chairman, responsible to project development.  Other key business development verticals includes oil and gas sector, industrial products, perishable products, high value added temperature control goods, pharmaceuticals, bio-pharma, cosmetics, nutraceuticals, agricultural food sector, food ingredients and protein development.  Trevor graduated with honours from Georgian College in Aviation Management, & completed his Master’s Degree in Aviation Management (MAvnMgt) Griffith University in Australia.

Sarfraz is a former data scientist who helped develop large scale platform and analytics capabilities, at big tech & startups. Currently he is driving Digital & Innovation at J&J’s Supply Chain organization. Previously, he led development of an industry-leading digital attribution solution with an analytics startup. During his time at Microsoft, Sarfraz was part of the early team building data & analytics infrastructure for Bing, which ultimately form the building blocks for Microsoft Azure. He holds an MS in Information Retrieval from Columbia University and is a classically trained vocalist.”

Most recently, he has been serving as the Director of Technical Operations at Tanner Pharma and currently holds the position of Chief Business Development Officer at Oximio – (SMO Group). Barry Shields is an accomplished professional with over 30 years of experience in the cargo industry, specializing in logistics and operations management. With a strong foundation built within the Emirates group over the past 15 years, Barry currently holds the position of Manager of Cargo Operations at dnata Cargo, located in the dynamic city of Dubai. In his role, Barry assumes comprehensive responsibility for all aspects of cargo operations. He leads a dedicated team in overseeing the handling of various types of specialized cargo, including the critical cold chain, for multiple airlines and Freight forwarders. With a keen focus on efficiency and safety, Barry ensures that the cargo handling processes run smoothly and effectively across multiple freight handling terminals. Andreas joined Swissport in 2017 as Station Manager Cargo Basel, and in 2019 was promoted to CEO & Station Manager Basel, responsible for passenger and cargo services at the bi-national EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse with over 600 employees. Throughout his career, Andreas held various senior and country management positions with a large international logistics service provider, mainly in Japan, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates. Andreas graduated with a Master of Science in Logistics & Supply Chain Management from Cranfield University School of Management. He later earned the Diploma as a GDP Officer at Concept Heidelberg in Mannheim, Germany, to gain an understanding of CEIV/GDP requirements in one of Europe’s life science capitals.

With over with 12 years’ experience in aviation and international logistics, Daniel joined Turkish Airlines in 2021 as their SVP for Cargo Product and Customer Experience. Daniel leads a dynamic team of seasoned air cargo professionals, developing Turkish Airlines’ portfolio of cargo products and services. This includes TK Pharma product, a IATA CEIV certified cold chain service for the transportation of temperature sensitive pharmaceutical and healthcare products. This year Daniel successfully lead the re-accreditation of all 3 CEIV products: Pharma, Live Animals and Perishables. In 2022 his Product development team launched a suite of new priority and speed based services.  In his previous role as Head of Products at IAG Cargo (British Airways, Iberia and Aer Lingus), Daniel was responsible for development and launch of IAG Cargo’s Critical and AOG services. When Daniel is not at the Turkish Cargo’s new mega hub, SmartIST facility and office at Istanbul airport, he is home in London, UK, with his wife and 4 year old daughter.  

Olivier Mary has more than 25 years’ experience in healthcare supply chain. He started his professional career in Air France-KLM Cargo where he reached several management positions in Sales & Operations. After this airline experience, he joined Institut Pasteur de Paris as Global Logistics & Transportation Director from 2010 to 2014. He worked back to freight forwarding industry to build Healthcare Vertical market specifically in Europe and Africa. In 2018, he joins the pharmaceutical manufacturer and pre-wholesaler dedicated for clinical trials, Advanced Therapy Medicine Product and orphan drugs, COLCA Medical & Scientific. Now he is Chief Commercial Officer & Supply Project Director of Euromed Pharma France (Ex COLCA Medical & Scientific). He manages daily complex supply project on worldwide clinical trials, ATMP and orphan drugs, with strict temperature control, high-level of pharmaceutical compliance expectation, while considering the potential risk of shortage in the market. He works on GMP&GDP, USP, MHRA compliance and serialization process, and leads audits on healthcare end-to-end supply chain industry”

Matt has over 30 years’ experience in Supply Chain & Logistics, gained across several industries. The majority of Matt’s career has been in the Military with extensive experience in supporting global operations and humanitarian aid relief. After retiring from the Military, Matt worked in Australia for 5 years, working in the Supply Chain Transformation team of Australia’s biggest retailer, then serving as the Head of Logistics for the Asia Pacific region for another major retailer. Returning to the UK in early 2019, Matt was the SVP Supply Chain & Logistics for a pharma wholesale and distribution company with global responsibility for supply chain planning, warehousing and transport. In Jan 2023, Matt joined Porton Biopharma Limited (PBL), and now runs all their Supply Chain operations, which include all the S&OP planning, Master Scheduling, Procurement, Warehousing and Transportation to support the inhouse manufacturing of their Anthrax Vaccine, and Erwinase, a pediatric treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Matt holds a Master’s degree in Business from the University of New South Wales.

She has worked 28 years in the aviation industry, starting with roles in the passenger division before moving on to cargo and eventually specializing in healthcare supply chain. Rashmi has served with various airlines over this time. At Qatar Airways Cargo, Rashmi is part of a specialized team involved in commercial strategy, product design & implementation, quality management, training, operational synergy, business development and digitalization. Rashmi works very closely with various industry platforms and associations and is privileged to serve on the advisory board of Pharma.Aero. She is very active in working with industry peers and collaborating towards enhancing the healthcare supply chain in a rapidly evolving and dynamic business environment.

Prof. Dr. Yvonne Ziegler has been Professor of Business Administration with a special focus on International Aviation Management since 2007. From September 2010 to August 2013, she was Dean of the Department of Business and Law at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. Between 1991 and 2006, she worked for the Lufthansa Group in various management positions in sales and marketing in Germany and abroad. From 2017-2020, she led the Pharma Supply Chain Risk Management research project, which was funded by the LOEWE3 research funding programme for outstanding scientific research projects of the State of Hesse. Currently, she is the managing director of the start-up Mytigate GmbH, which markets the research results of the research project. Since March 2021, she has represented the interests of the State of Hesse on the supervisory board of Condor Flugdienst GmbH.

Anne-Catherine is leading the mRnA & Gene Therapy Global Logistics Delivery Operations within Pfizer. She is based in Belgium and is managing a global team of transport and LSP managers spread over Belgium, US and Singapore. In her role she is responsible for the end-to-end service and cost of the logistics network required to support the storage, shipping and transport of raw materials, packaging supplies and finished goods for the Covid Vaccine and Gene Therapy Business Unit. She previously led the APAC Logistic Network Operations focussing on the outbound transportation from Pfizer APAC manufacturing sites. Prior to joining Pfizer she worked at PwC consulting for 10 years where she delivered multiple supply chain assignments across various pharma and life science companies.

Mark has over 30 years of logistics experience garnered at a variety of logistics service providers and pharmaceutical product manufacturers; he is currently the Global Freight & Trade Compliance Manager at Kindeva, a manufacturer of asthma medicines amongst other products. Hi is also Managing Director of Modalis which is a dynamic logistics consultancy specialising in pharmaceutical and temperature-controlled logistics. His pharmaceutical projects at Kindeva and Modalis have included setting up a GDP-compliant operation from scratch, design and implementation of various cost-saving programmes which have delivered multi-million dollar savings as well as improving sustainability through CO2 savings. Prior to Kindeva he was Regional Freight Lead at AstraZeneca with responsibility for all freight in and out of the EMEA region. Successes included setting up a train service for shipments from Sweden to China delivering savings of $8m over an 18-month period whilst improving Quality performance. 4 sites were successfully transitioned into the new global logistics function under Mark’s watch as well as ensuring AZ were Brexit-ready from a freight and Customs perspective. Before AZ, he was Global Freight and Compliance Manager at Actavis where he was responsible for all aspects of international logistics and was the subject matter expert for transportation, warehousing, Incoterms, Customs’ compliance, Good Distribution Practice and new product launches. Amongst his many achievements were consolidation of the supply chain from over 200 transport providers down to just 2, the introduction of GDP compliance & temperature control to all shipments at no additional cost to the business and a 100% OTIF first to market success for all of Actavis’ new product launches.

Stavros Evangelakakis has 30 years’ experience in the air cargo industry working in various departments at Cargolux. Evangelakakis has held previous roles in export, reservations, sales, marketing, cooperating marketing. Prior to his current title of Global Product Manager for Healthcare/Perishables, Evangelakakis was sales Manager Europe, M East and C Asia for 9 years. He is the Chairman of the Cool Chain association.

Vijan Chetty is the current General Manager of the Coastal Division within the Perishable Products Export Control Board (PPECB). He has fulfilled various roles within the PPECB since he joined in 1998. His current responsibilities include the management of product quality inspections, cold chain services, protocols and standards for cold chain, export certification, phytosanitary certification and research and innovation.

Jaisey is the Vice President, Cargo Business Division with Changi Airport Group. In her current role, Jaisey is responsible for planning, strategy formulation and business development of the airport's air cargo business. Jaisey manages a team to anchor air cargo connectivity, as well as to develop standards and handling capabilities of key cargo verticals including but not restricted to pharmaceuticals, perishables, and e-commerce. In securing Changi's air cargo future, Jaisey is involved in the Changi East Industrial Zone (CEIZ) project and in the shaping and futureproofing of Changi's air cargo hub. Jaisey has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Master of Science (Supply Chain Management) from National University of Singapore.

In 2014, Mr. Trinkaus founded the company Trinkaus-Solutions in the function of technical managing director, which emerged from a company that has been providing the task of technical spare parts procurement & industrial representation for large-scale production and logistics since 1989. Through close customer contact with leading airlines and ground handlers, he gained insights into the requirements of air freight. In 2017, he founded Trilatec GmbH with his business partner Andreas Langemann and introduced the lightweight solution squAIR-timber®, which was certified by Lufthansa Cargo for air cargo assembly in 2020. As managing partner, he is responsible for industry representation in Germany and develops sustainable & innovative solutions for air cargo. Mr. Trinkaus also graduated as an electronics technician in industrial engineering. Here he specialized in industrial plant maintenance and global spare parts procurement

Through close customer contact with leading airlines and ground handlers, he gained insights into the requirements of air cargo. In 2017, he founded Trilatec GmbH with his business partner Stefan Trinkaus and introduced the lightweight solution squAIR-timber®, which was certified by Lufthansa Cargo for air cargo build up in 2020. As managing partner, he is responsible for production in Germany and develops sustainable & innovative solutions for air cargo. Andreas Langemann also graduated in business administration from the University of Cologne. Here he specialised in production and logistics and worked in quality assurance for many years.

Nicola has over 20 years' experience in the Air Cargo Industry and has been involved in many different areas, roles, and projects. After gaining ten years’ experience in Cargo Operations Management, Nicola went on to be Quality and Risk Manager and then Security TAPA Asset Protection Project Manager. Nicola has been the group coordinator for both CEIV Pharma and CEIV Fresh standards for GHAz since IATA first developed and launched the certifications, as well as Pharma & Special Products Development Manager. Nicola is currently leading the Quality Department at SkyCell AG. Additionally, he serves as Secretary General of the Cool Chain Association (CCA) and is a member of IATA TTWG.

Chiara Venuti is currently the Global Head of Strategic Partnerships for SkyCell AG where she leads a team of experts focused on delivering safe, secure and sustainable solutions to the pharmaceutical industry. Chiara has over 18 years track record of successful experience in international logistics and healthcare supply chain industry. Chiara is an acknowledged specialist in implementing end-to-end supply chain solutions for global vaccines distribution. She lived and worked in Italy, Canada, England, and currently she is based in Switzerland where the SkyCell HQ is located.

Netka Hohlfeld started as Department Head Life Science and Healthcare Logistics on 1^st of September 2022 at DACHSER SE and is based in the Air & Sea Logistics in Frankfurt. Netka Hohlfeld is globally responsible for the business field solution Life Science and Healthcare Logistics at DACHSER SE. She has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry and has previously worked for Kühne + Nagel and Bolloré Logistics. In her last position as Healthcare Director at Bolloré Logistics, she was responsible for the healthcare product and the corresponding business development. Janet Wallace has over twenty years of experience across all the customer touchpoints at Air Canada. In 2016 she was appointed Director Cargo Transformation. With overall leadership of process engineering, regulatory, training & third party contracting for Air Canada’s worldwide Cargo operations. Her focus is on building a quality & culture organization that is fit for growth. Also pursuing Masters of Science in Transportation Management- MS Supply Chain at the University of Denver.

Born in Athens in 1967, Alexis Sioris gained his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration in Germany and consequently the USA. After one year in Consulting with Nestle in Indonesia and his military service with ETA of the Greek Army's Special Forces, he joined Athens International Airport S.A., still under formation at the time. Upon AIA’s opening in 2001, he assumed the role of Manager Cargo Development and Chairman of the Airport Cargo Community Committee, a unique cluster comprising various on- and off-airport stakeholders, and successfully spearheaded AIA’s endeavors to place Athens on the world cargo map. In 2016, Alexis additionally assumed responsibility for the whole ground-handling sector at AIA, with the vision to promote the growth and development of new ventures within the airport community, anew through a true synergetic approach. From 2014-2017, Alexis served as Vice Chairman of the Institute of Logistics Management Greece (HILME). Alexis is a European Senior Logistician (ESLog), an accredited Airport Professional (IAP) as well as a Master Practitioner in NLP. He is a Greek native speaker, and fluent in German, English and French.

Fabrice, a seasoned professional with more than 25 years of experience in sales and business development, has had quite a diverse and interesting career path. Before venturing into the aviation industry, he served as an Instructor Officer-Lieutenant- in the French Army, showcasing his disciplined and leadership background. His aviation journey began in 1998 when he joined Air France as a Station Commercial Representative. As the Head of Studies and Statistics at the regional headquarters, Fabrice developed analytical tools that played a vital role in shaping sales decisions. In 2008, he transitioned to Air France KLM Cargo, where he initially took charge of Sales for Eastern France. Later, he joined the France Sales Management team, further advancing his expertise in sales. In 2013, Fabrice's career took an exciting turn as he became the Sales Manager & Developer for the France, DOM-TOM, Africa region of the Air France KLM Pharmaceutical Group. In this role, he established a vertical organization and fostered collaborations with local Pharma Associations, demonstrating his ability to create effective networks. Continuing his growth within the pharmaceutical logistics field, Fabrice became the Head of Product & Development for Pharmaceutical Logistics in January 2017. He led a global team responsible for supporting sales and operations in delivering high-end, time-sensitive pharmaceutical and biotechnology products. In 2019, he assumed global responsibility for Quality under GDP/QA Pharma, implementing performance enhancement programs and investment strategies for cool chain products. Since May 2020, Fabrice has been a part of Etihad Cargo, where he has taken on leadership roles in the Pharma and Fresh high-value goods segments and several innovative projects in addition to promoting Abu Dhabi as a Life Sciences and Food HUB. His expertise and passion for the industry have undoubtedly been invaluable to the organization. Beyond his professional achievements, Fabrice also holds a License level in History and has received distinction awards in various areas, including sports, the military, foreign languages, and IATA Quality and Risk Management for Temperature Controlled Cargo.
