He is the Chairman of the Cool Chain association.

A.Bahadır BUYUKKAYMAZ worked as Customer Relationship Manager and Logistic Operations Manager in reputable global and domestic companies with extensive experience more than 20 years. He was responsible for transport and distribution operations, business ethics, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency and profitability assessments. In the last 9 years of his career, he has been working as Special Cargo Product Manager in Turkish Cargo. He is responsible from management and coordination of product development projects. In coorperation with other departments, A.Bahadır BUYUKKAYMAZ develops new products and services and provides enhancements to existing ones on a regular basis. Following closely the trends and latest technological developments in air cargo sector, attending to workshops and international seminars related to special cargo operations are of his great interest. He develops sales plans to support Turkish Cargo’s regional sales-marketing teams world-wide specifically in relation to special cargo consignments. A.Bahadır BUYUKKAYMAZ ensures publishing of supplementary articles on special cargo by IATA. His management announces newsletters related to special cargo to entire Turkish Cargo organization in order to set corporate standards in and outbound and mitigate operational risks. A.Bahadır BUYUKKAYMAZ is entitled with IATA’s CEIV Pharma Certificate and is Pharma Responsible Person in Turkish Cargo organisation. He has helped to obtain CEIV Live Animal and CEIV Fresh, too.

In 2014 Andy Faes assumed his current position at Expeditors offices in Brussels, Belgium where he is primarily responsible for developing and managing the company’s Healthcare Vertical for Europe. Faes started his logistical career in 1999 with American Airlines in various commercial roles for Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg. Faes moved to London in 2007 to join their Cargo Division for EMEA and becoming chairman of American Airlines Cargo Sales Advisory Board. In 2009 Faes set up AA Cargo Temperature Controlled Services EPXTC for the region, training 3,000 colleagues towards GDP compliance.

Marco Del Giudice is the co-founder and Vice president of Pharmacomitalia, an Italian non-profit association that connects pharmaceutical manufacturers and their logistic service providers. In 2010 he founded MdG Consulting, supplying the airfreight pharma industry with specific consultancy for the IATA CEIV and GDP compliances. Del Giudice is also CEO of MdG Srl, a company providing the logistic and pharma industry with products and services for the cold chain. Del Giudice is also, since 2014, senior auditor for the IATA CEIV Pharma certification with more the 90 audits worldwide.

Nicola has over 20 years' experience in the Air Cargo Industry and has been involved in many different areas, roles, and projects. After gaining ten years’ experience in Cargo Operations Management, Nicola went on to be Quality and Risk Manager and then Security TAPA Asset Protection Project Manager. Nicola has been the group coordinator for both CEIV Pharma and CEIV Fresh standards for GHAz since IATA first developed and launched the certifications, as well as Pharma & Special Products Development Manager. Nicola is currently leading the Quality Department at SkyCell AG. Additionally, he serves as Secretary General of the Cool Chain Association (CCA) and is a member of IATA TTWG.

Miguel Rodriguez joined Qatar Airways Cargo in December 2019 and is currently responsible for the Climate Control Products’ operational and commercial development, which include QR Pharma, QR Fresh (Perishables) and QR Live (Live Animals). Rodriguez has a strong background in operations and commercial management in the aviation and hospitality industries. He has been responsible for the IATA CEIV Pharma and Fresh certifications in his previous company and is currently leading the IATA CEIV Live certification for Qatar Airways Cargo and its Hub in Doha after successfully obtaining the IATA CEIV Pharma certification in December 2020.

Gerton is a Dutch national with 35 years of experience in the air cargo industry. He worked for KLM Cargo at various places in the world and gathered experience in perishable and pharmaceutical logistics before changing to the airport cargo handling sector. Gerton was the Managing Director of Dusseldorf Airport Cargo for 12 years, a 100% subsidiary of Dusseldorf Airport. One of their main focuses is to offer first class pharmaceutical handling for a myriad of manufacturers of pharmaceutical products in the State of North Rhine Westphalia (NRW). Since his retirement from Dusseldorf Airport in 2020, Gerton founded Energy in Process GmbH, where he consults for the air cargo community.

Additionally acting also as IATA`s Auditor & Consultant on pharma temperature control projects at Airports in Europe, US, Canada, Latin America and South Africa for airlines, airports´ handling & ramp operators, freight forwarding companies and trucking companies. Before joining IATA, Rizzuto owned and managed his own company for 15 years dedicated to Freight Forwarding, Customs Brokerage and Int´l Trade Consulting, and worked for companies like Panalpina and UPS (Supply Chain Management).

Gianluca Marcangelo began his career in the freight forwarding industry in 1998 taking care of the AOG product. In 2000 he moved to the current Italian branch of Global GSA Group under the tenure of Head of Operations managing several global accounts. In 2015 he moved to Oman Air HQ in Muscat where he held the position of Manager Customer Service first, then was promoted to Manager Special Products and Digital Innovation, leading one of the first community approach in our industry to the CEIV Pharma and Fresh certification process and the eAWB implementation. In 2021 he joined the Challenge Group as Senior Manager Cargo Transformation. Marcangelo is member of the new IATA PCWG and the CCA Technical Committee.

John Perdoch joined Boeing in 2006 as the Marketing Freighter Model Leader.  He is responsible for representing customer interests to Boeing freighter programs, as well as communicating the value of Boeing products to customers.  Prior to Marketing, Perdoch worked in Product Development as a senior Configuration Design engineer developing next generation freighters including the 777-8F.  While there, he was responsible for driving aircraft design to support key customer cargo missions, such as carriage of pharmaceuticals, perishables, dry ice, and live animals; leveraging his prior experience as an Environmental Control Systems engineer.

Nathan De Valck heads the Cargo Product & Route development team at Brussels Airport. De Valck is responsible for the business development and key account activities for airlines, forwarders and shippers at Brussels Airport, as well as the further development of the various specializations and products such as pharma, perishables, animal transport or e-commerce. De Valck managed the CEIV pharma community certification program at BRUcargo making Brussels Airport the first cargo community in the world to be CEIV pharma certified. De Valck is co-founder and chairman of Pharma.Aero and a full member of the IATA Time and Temperature Working Group.

Emma Murray set up Meantime in 2008 after a 15 year career reporting on the supply chain and logistics industries. Murray is an NCTJ-trained reporter and an award-winning editor. She studied Middle Eastern Archaeology and Akkadian, although she has to admit her cuneiform is probably a little rusty these days. She was once an archaeologist working in Syria and Jordan, and has been an English language teacher. She has lived at one time or another in Jerusalem and Aleppo, as well as Paris and Brussels, where she went to school and learnt to speak French. She is an accredited CIPR practitioner.

Michael Hegglin is heading the sustainability department at SkyCell, where he is advancing green pharma logistics. Under his environmental leadership, SkyCell has set Science-based CO2 targets, switched to renewable electricity, received the EcoVadis Gold Medal, and became operationally carbon neutral. Before joining SkyCell, Hegglin worked as a sustainability consultant and clean energy match-maker in the US, Germany, and Switzerland. Hegglin has studied environmental sciences at ETH Zurich and Yale University and has thus profound knowledge of environmental systems and policies.

In his professional career, Sasson fulfilled several managerial positions, within the freight forwarding industry, Airlines and Hi-Tech companies. Sasson joined the Challenge Group in 2017 under the tenure of Ground Operations Manager Europe based at the Group’s HUB in Liege, where, inspired by the corporate motto “Challenge Accepted”, he dedicated his activity to deliver operational excellence and provide full logistics end to end solutions for complex and non-standard cargo as per the Group vision & mission. As part of the Group’s growth strategy, last year Sasson was appointed as the Group COO.
