This was the fifth outing of the illustrious Air Cargo Handling Conference, hosted by ANA Aeroportos de Portugal, 25th – 27th September 2013 at the stunning Tivoli Lisboa Hotel, in the heart of Lisbon. Over the course of three days, over 200 delegates from the Air Cargo Industry came together in the Portuguese capital for an agenda that included presentations and panel discussions and working groups on all aspects of Cargo Supply chain.

A particular focus this year was the current tough market conditions and what changes could be implemented to enhance collective efficiencies, adding to the topics covered in a varied and fascinating programme.Exhibiting alongside the Conference were numerous air cargo participants including WFS alongside BFS, Fraport, Swissport, LUG aircargo handling, Portway handling, Groundforce Portugal, Brussels Airport, Alha, Hactl, Saco airport equipment, DGM software and HERMES. The evening of the 26th ANA Aeroportos de Portugal hosted a sumptuous champagne reception and gala dinner at the beautiful Patio de Gale, where delegates were introduced to the Fado music of Portugal. The evening proved a great way for speakers and delegates to unwind and proved to be a golden networking opportunity.

A Charity Auction was also held where our delegates generously came together and raised over €6400 for our chosen charity Save the Children. The event was a success all round and we look forward to bringing the Air Cargo Handling Conference to Milan, Italy in 2014.
