New air cargo terminal launched at Muscat International airport

A new cargo terminal at the brand new international airport in Muscat has recently opened, according to reports.

The Times of Oman reported that Oman Aviation Services noted, “the terminal that aims at being one of the main stations for cargo has a capacity of 350,000 tonnes per year.”

The cargo terminal is already ready to operate out of the airport, exports and operations have been transferred over to the building.

Mohammed Al Zaabi, CEO of PACA said: “We are very pleased with the successful operation of the new air cargo building with a capacity of 350,000 tons per year and an expansion capacity of 500 thousand tons. The equipment includes state-of-the-art technologies to keep pace with the steady growth in air traffic,” the Times reported.
