Moscow Cargo wins top accolade

Moscow Cargo has won the Eurasian Award for aviation marketing in 2019 in the special nomination category – “For the launch of the most modern and high-tech cargo air terminal in the Eurasian region”.

The award ceremony took place on 8 July in Krasnoyarsk during the Eurasian Forum for air freight network cargo development.

Judge on the committee included representatives of the professional community with experience in leadership in the aviation industry, government agencies, industry public institutions, and associations.

The Eurasian Award in aviation marketing among airlines, airports and other civil aviation enterprises of the Eurasian region was established by the Center for Strategic Development  in  Civil Aviation (CSR GA) to encourage enterprises that have achieved outstanding results in marketing and commerce in the past year.

Selection of experts was primarily based on an assessment of the performance of cargo operators and the technical characteristics of cargo terminals.

The new cargo complex Sheremetyevo Moscow Cargo is spread over 42,300 square metres and is the largest in Russia, CIS, and Eastern Europe with capacity of 380,000 tonnes annually.

Taking into account the projected growth of cargo turnover in 2022, Moscow Cargo said it plans to launch the second stage of the cargo terminal, which will increase the capacity of the cargo operator of Sheremetyevo airport to 740,000 tonnes of cargo a year.
