Menzies Aviation refreshes cargo leadership team

Menzies Aviation has made two new appointments to its cargo leadership team that sees Robert Fordree move into a new role of executive vice president cargo and Chris Beale re-joning Menzies as VP cargo Europe.

Fordree was previously senior vice president commercial cargo development prior to his new position. He is a former board member of Cargo iQ and a current member of IATA’s Cargo Handling Consultative Council.

Beale originally joined the Menzies cargo business during its inception at London Heathrow, before moving to the US where he held various ground handling and cargo roles within the business. This was prior to his move to the Middle East where he held positions in Abu Dhabi and latterly in Italy for Etihad Airways before returning to the UK to take up a role with Worldwide Flight Services.

Fordree said: “I am delighted to welcome Chris back to Menzies Aviation, who brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in cargo. I know he will be a great asset to the team, as we focus on seizing opportunities in the cargo market that will sustainably grow the business.

“Now that my focus is solely on our cargo business, I look forward to sharing my insights on innovation and operational excellence and meeting our customers at the IATA Air Cargo Operations Conference and the Annual Ground Handling International Conference this Autumn.”

Beale said: “I am delighted to be back at Menzies Aviation, and am very much looking forward to working closely with Robert and the cargo team. This is an exciting time for the business, as we push to deliver a premium service to our cargo customers as well as growth in and beyond our core European markets.”
