Menzies Aviation Indonesia has begun handling operations with a second customer FedEx – providing both freighter and ground handling at Jakarta’s Soekarno–Hatta International Airport (CGK) from last month.
FedEx operates five flights a week from Jakarta, arriving from Ahmad Yani International Airport and departing to Singapore Changi Airport.
Menzies Aviation Indonesia senior vice president, Ron Ket said: “Our team in Jakarta have proven themselves yet again in gaining their second customer within just one month of starting services.
“Having a bigger footprint within the airport community and continuing our delivery of ‘excellence from touchdown to takeoff’ will certainly assist us with further growth in the future. Well done to all the staff that have made a success of the first weeks of this start-up at CGK.”
Menzies has also welcomed the first British Airways belly flights at King Shaka International Airport in Durban, South Africa on a new three-weekly direct route from London Heathrow Airport.
