Lufthansa Cargo is now offering Envirotainer’s Releye RAP cargo container

Releye RAP temperature-controlled containers from Envirotainer are now available to companies shipping pharmaceuticals through Lufthansa Cargo.

The RAP version of Envirotainer’s Releye container was introduced in February, and the first commercial shipment began to make use of the container in March.

The Releye container’s RAP variant is the largest model and can accommodate up to five pallets, as opposed to the 2021 model’s three pallets.

According to Envirotainer, the Releye RAP’s bigger capacity makes it more effective than smaller temperature-controlled containers and has a smaller carbon footprint.

The container is monitored through a control tower service.

Rechargeable batteries are used in the device, which can run for more than 170 hours on a single charge.

Additionally, it provides real-time monitoring for shipment status, product quality, location, temperature, humidity, battery levels, door openings, and whether or not cargo is loaded.

“With the integration of this state-of-the-art container, Lufthansa Cargo is once again meeting its commitment to provide its customers with first-class products and services and to drive innovation,” said Lufthansa Cargo.

“We would like to thank Envirotainer for their long-standing cooperation, which enables us to continuously expand and improve our offering for the pharmaceutical industry and temperature-sensitive goods.”
