Johannes Jähn will replace Ulrich Ogiermann as the managing director of CargoLogic Germany (CLG), reports Air Cargo News sister title DVZ.
Jähn has been involved in Leipzig/Halle-based CLG’s business since mid-August and since September 19, he has officially held the position of managing director.
It is not his first position based at the fast-growing German airport.
At the beginning of June, Jähn had to vacate his office at airport operator Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG (MFAG) as well as his position as managing director of Leipzig/Halle Airport.
“The company’s supervisory board and Jähn have mutually agreed to revoke Jähn’s appointment as managing director before the end of the contract period,” MFAG announced at the time.
At that time he was quoted by MFAG as saying: “I am looking forward to a new professional challenge after very interesting and rewarding years.”
Ogiermann will continue to work for the cargo airline until further notice as a consultant.
He was managing director of CLG for about nine months, but he had hinted that there could be changes in recent weeks.
Ogiermann had stated that he considered his task to be fulfilled at CLG as soon as the airline had been issued with an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) had been issued by the Federal Office of Civil Aeronautics (LBA). This was finally granted on September 13.
