innoAviation teams up with Descartes on Bluetooth ULD tracking solution

innoAviation Limited has entered into a strategic technology partnership with CORE Solutions at Descartes to enable its customers to better manage their shipments through innovative ULD tracking solutions.

Spencer Kwan, innoAviation managing director, says the partnership with Descartes gave it access to “the world’s largest Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) network in commercial air transport” through CORE Solution’s COREInsight Tracking Solutions, which works with Nordisk Aviation Products (Nordisk).

innoAviation was formed in August  and “our main focus is to provide ULD solutions with our application of technologies that will give our customers full control to better manage their shipments effectively and efficiently,” Kwan explains.

In addition to ULD leasing, innoAviation also aims to be a leading force for cold chain solutions to airlines around the world. It is headquartered in Hong Kong and has supporting stations in Shanghai, Los Angeles, London and Frankfurt.

Ian Craig, managing director for CORE Solutions at Descartes, says: “This partnership represents a tremendous opportunity to provide our joint customers with the real-time global visibility that they need to streamline their operations and improve customer service.”

“Nordisk, the innovative ULD supplier, is delighted that the Nordisk ULD fleets, acquired by innoAviation has been synergized with Core BLE leasing tracking solutions,” said Boon Yang Sim, vice president sales and business development, APAC and China PRC.
