Frankfurt Airport (FRA) has received the prestigious STAT Trade Times International Award for Excellence in Air Cargo, in the category “Best International Airport”. This award from the renowned STAT Trade Times International publication was presented to Fraport AG at the Air Cargo India international trade fair in Mumbai, India, yesterday.
Fraport AG’s head of cargo development and cargo management, Max Conrady, said: “We are honored and delighted to win this award again, especially at a time when the aviation market has been hit by the emerging trend towards supply-side consolidations, as well as widespread cancellations resulting from the coronavirus outbreak.
“At Frankfurt Airport, we are continuously enhancing digital infrastructure and promoting transparent and even more efficient handling processes. This allows our partners to make optimal use of resources.”
Handling some 2.1 million metric tons of cargo in 2019, Frankfurt Airport is Europe’s largest cargo hub.
