FedEx starts new Sydney-Singapore connection

FedEx Express has started a new direct four times a week freighter service between Sydney, in Australia, and Singapore.

The express operator said it will meet increasing demand for capacity especially in the oversized shipment freight segment.

The new Sydney-Singapore route follows on from network tweaks made by FedEx in the region and this year in started a new connection between Hanoi and Guangzhou.

FedEx president for Asia Pacific, Karen Reddington said: “FedEx has launched this new flight to and from Sydney to give Australian businesses better access to global possibilities.

“We are seeing increasing inflows and outflows of goods and services worldwide to and from Australia, as we are across the rest of the Asia Pacific region.”
