EVA Podcast to be launched on Thursday

The much-anticipated first episode of the EVA Podcast hosted by well-known aviation industry leader Chris Notter will be aired on Thursday (1 August).

Chris will host all episodes of the podcast, that will air twice a week, every Monday and Thursday and feature some of the industry’s most respected decision-makers and colourful characters.

The aim of the Eva podcasts is to understand the person behind the key aviation industry position, diving headfirst into their lives, backgrounds, career highlights and a whole lot more.

The inaugural episode of Season 1 will see Chris chat to air cargo industry veteran Desmond Vertannes, Chairman of the Board at e-Cargoware and former Head of Cargo at the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

‘When Eastenders Meets Downton Abbey’ sees Chris and Des reflect on their “beloved industry”, discussing customer experience, camaraderie, characters and, of course, cargo. Their stories take us from the Gulf to angry orangutans and even forgotten footballing aspirations.

In the second episode on Monday, 5 August, Chris will then chat to ground handling guru Mervyn Walker, Executive Vice President Operations Support at Menzies Aviation.

‘Free As A Bird’ sees Chris and Mervyn throw eggs and catch up, as they look back on the black part of the Guinness, cry over kiwis, ski with wildebeest and teach each other how to K.I.S.S.

Episodes that will follow include with other well-known senior aviation industry figures such as Olivier Bijaoui, Steve Dickson, Martin Burt, and Stewart Angus.
