Etihad Airways announced that Martin Drew, the Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Cargo, will be departing from the company at the end of September.
Drew, who initially joined Etihad Airways in 2005 as the Head of Freighters & Business Partnership, has held his current position since November 2020 at the airline’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
An Etihad spokesperson confirmed the news, stating, “Martin Drew, Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Cargo, will be leaving Etihad Airways.”
The spokesperson further acknowledged Drew’s significant contributions to the company, remarking, “Martin was instrumental in leading our sales and cargo operations over the past few years, driving considerable revenue growth and strengthening our partnerships with trade and corporate partners, freight forwarders, and other key stakeholders worldwide.”
The spokesperson also emphasized the critical role Drew played in guiding Etihad Cargo, particularly during the challenging period of the pandemic, describing it as “an essential lifeline.”
In light of Drew’s departure, the spokesperson expressed gratitude for his leadership and extended best wishes for his future endeavors.
Etihad Airways will now embark on the process of identifying a suitable successor to continue driving the company’s sales and cargo operations forward.
