Emirates SkyCargo appoints David Harman as cargo manager for Switzerland

Emirates SkyCargo has appointed David Harman to the key position of cargo manager for Switzerland.

Based in Zurich, Harman will be responsible for overseeing all operational and commercial aspects for the freight division of Emirates in the country.

With over 30 years of international aviation and cargo experience, the airline said he “brings valuable knowledge and skills to his new role”.

Harman has previously worked as vice president for dnata Ground and Cargo Handling in Zurich and held various positions through the years at CHEP Aerospace Solutions, Unitpool AG, Swissport International and Swiss WorldCargo. He succeeds Nathalie Picaud, who has taken over responsibility for pharma sales in Europe for Emirates SkyCargo.

Emirates country manager for Switzerland, Juerg Mueller said: “We are excited to welcome an experienced individual like David Harman on board for our cargo market in Switzerland.

“His leadership qualities and extensive know-how of the industry make him the ideal candidate for the Emirates SkyCargo team in Switzerland. We are confident that he will make a significant contribution to the continued growth of the cargo business in one of our key markets.”

Switzerland plays an important role for Emirates SkyCargo. Two daily passenger flights from both Zurich and Geneva transport belly cargo on board Emirates’ Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft.
