DSV opens a new office in Panama City

Danish freight forwarder DSV has opened a new office in Panama City which it says is an important hub for Central America and the Caribbean and due to the free zones.

DSV Air & Sea executive vice president for the LATAM region, Torge Koehnke said it was a strategic decision to move into Panama, and many of the firm’s use the free zones to distribute goods to the Central American and Caribbean markets.

Koehnke added: “In addition, Panama is an attractive place to store products and establish distribution to the countries in the region due to the tax benefits available.”

DSV Air & Sea Panama managing director, Jonas Thoroe, who will heading the new entity said DSV looks forward to “supporting current and new customers alike with their logistics requirements”.
