DSV Crossing the milestone of 100.000.000 transported mouth masks

DSV Belgium has solid experience in the transport of pharmaceutical products for different customers. With the pharma hub based at Brussels Airport a lot of experience and know-how has been built up over the years. Thanks to this strong embedded operation and a good collaboration with the team of Brussels Airport a seamless operation has been put together.

Last weekend they handled one hundred million mouth masks, an important milestone for our Belgian organisation that has put a lot of effort to satisfy their customers and as such tries to contribute to the overall wellbeing of all Belgian citizens.

The differentiation in DSV’s process is that they support their customers with a strong local network at origin, whereby they go the extra mile. Amongst the normal scope of activities this also means that they act as a coordinator between the different production sites and customers in Belgium to ensure smooth processing, verification of material and support in obtaining the correct documentation, export licenses and much more.

Dixit our Managing Director BELUX, Mohamed Siraj: “You need it, we move it”.

Through a combined network of own flights, charters or part charters and our strong relationship with commercial airlines, we designed a reliable solution at fair market prices to support our customers and governmental authorities. In collaboration with the handling agents at different airports such as Brussels, Liege and Luxembourg, we process material as efficient and fast as possible and offer supplementary services to our customers“.

As per Christophe Eulaerts, Sales Director of DSV BELUX, going the extra mile to offer a real end to end solution is absolute key, the right people on the right key location offers an added value which makes the difference. When the COVID-19 crisis started, we noticed that a lot of our customers had issues to get orders confirmed and released by the Chinese authorities in order to connect on the booked flights, which often resulted in extra costs as deadlines were not kept. By offering our support on the coordination, we managed to align supply chains to actual flight schedules and have the most efficient result.
