Dachser UK appoints Mark Rollinson as its new MD

Dachser has appointed Mark Rollinson as managing director (MD) of its subsidiary Dachser UK and he will take on the role at the end of September.

The German global logistics heavyweight has made the move after Nick Lowe, who was MD of the unit for 17 years has decided to take early retirement.

Rollinson previously held senior director roles at Schenker and Allport Cargo Services and started a three-month induction period for the position at the beginning of July.

He said he sees “enormous potential” for further growth and the introduction and implementation of an ever wider range of logistics services in the future.

For the 2017 financial year, Dachser UK reported in May that sales turnover was up by 16 per cent to £77 million with export services revenue increasing by 21 per cent and import business grew by seven per cent.

Plans were also revealed for further investment in both its Northampton and Rochdale facilities while it said ‘eLogistics’ digital services continue to generate competitive advantage.
