Dachser moves into the Swedish air and sea freight market

Dachser Air & Sea Logistics has entered the Swedish market with an office in Gothenburg and is offering air and sea freight services.

The Gothenburg office is made up of a team of eight (pictured above) but the logistics company said it plans to have 20 experts for air and sea freight in the long run.

Gothenburg is Sweden’s second-largest city and has the largest export harbour in Northern Europe and is a key link between Sweden and Norway.

Dachser can now offer its customers a full portfolio of multimodal logistics services working with the Swedish overland transport organisation, which has four offices in Sweden

Dachser Air and Sea Logistics chief operating officer, Jochen Muller said the move is a further investment in its global air and sea freight network and a “way to build up our position in the Scandinavian market”.

Dachser has branch offices for air and sea freight in Denmark and Finland.

“Our new office in Gothenburg lets us offer our Swedish customers access via Dachser to global markets,” Muller added.

The service portfolio comprises all global air, sea and rail services as well as customs clearance and warehousing.
