Changi posts 4.5% tonnage rise in April

Singapore Changi Airport handled 179,410 tonnes of in April – a 4.5 per cent increase on the same month last year – when it handled 171,700 tonnes.

In the first four months of the year, Changi has handled 691,500 tonnes, a 3.8 per cent rise on the same period last year.

As at 1 May 2018, more than 100 airlines operate at Changi Airport, connecting Singapore to some 400 cities in about 100 countries and territories worldwide.

New Services at Changi have included Singapore Airlines strengthening its connectivity to Australia, increasing the frequency of its Sydney service from 33 to 35 times a week, and its Canberra service from thrice-weekly to daily.

The airline also added an additional service to Ahmadabad, India, bringing the total to five times a week.
