Castle Aviation will soon begin operation of a freshly converted Saab 340B freighter on behalf of Canada-based shipping and logistics company Purolator.
The 1993-vintage unit (formerly of Seaborne Airlines) was converted from passenger use to cargo, at the Taby Aircraft Maintenance facility in Oreboro, Sweden.
After receiving fresh paint, it finally returned home to KCAK Airport on August 19, 2022. The aircraft is branded for Purolator.
This aircraft is the sixth Saab 340B to join the Castle fleet– thanks to Jetstream Aviation Capital, the largest owner and lessor of 340Bs.
