Cargolux increases Xiamen route frequency to three times a week

Cargolux Airlines added a third weekly Boeing 747F frequency to its Xiamen freighter route as of 1 July, 2019 to meet growing customer demand.

The new service, CV9721 is operated every Monday morning, departing Luxembourg at 08.10h with arrival in Xiamen on Tuesday at 04.40h. The return flight, CV9731, is scheduled to leave Xiamen at 06.15h and is routed through Los Angeles before returning to Luxembourg where it lands at 06.15h (all local times).

Cargolux has been operating into Xiamen since 2006 with two weekly flights from Luxembourg on Wednesday and Friday arriving in the Chinese city on Thursday morning and Saturday morning.

The carrier said the additional China – USA service “cements Cargolux’s strong position” in China and on transpacific trade lanes.

This additional frequency provides the only direct freighter connection between Xiamen and the USA, further broadening Cargolux’s extensive service offering.

The main imports from Europe into Xiamen comprise a vast range of classic cargo as well as spare parts and semiconductor parts. The new frequency from Xiamen to Los Angeles will mainly support the export of clothing items and electronic goods.
