Asendia works with Chilly’s Bottles to help keep healthcare workers hydrated

Asendia – a joint venture between La Poste and Swiss Post – has a Fulfilment Centre in Bedford, where it employs up to 90 people to handle order fulfilment for a number of online retailers.

Chilly’s Bottles Ltd is one of their biggest customers, with thousands of their much loved bottles being shipped to consumers across the world every day.

Chilly’s was founded in 2010 with the aim of providing people with the ability to always have cold water on-the-go, without having to buy single-use plastic water bottles. The Chilly’s Bottle includes high performance technology that keeps water cold up to 24 hours.

After hearing about how hot it can be wearing PPE, the founders of Chilly’s knew their product could provide some help, and they really wanted to show a token of their appreciation to frontline healthcare workers, so decided to donate 10,000 bottles.

Carl Loader, Fulfilment Director at Asendia commented: “When Chilly’s told us what they were doing we also wanted to play our part, and we took the quick decision to handle the fulfilment and delivery of the bottles for free”.

Carl continued: “We all recognise the hard work and dedication that frontline healthcare workers demonstrate, particularly at this really challenging time, and we were happy to support Chilly’s in this”.
