Alitalia approves use of CSafe RAP pharma containers

Pharmaceutical temperature-controlled packaging firm CSafe Global says that Alitalia has approved the recently launched CSafe RAP for lift.

CSafe’s recently launched CSafe RAP is the latest innovation in large, active temperature-controlled containers to enter the pharmaceutical cold chain industry.

The CSafe RAP operates in even the extreme ambient conditions (-30°C to +54°C) and has quickly gained validation approval across the airline industry.

“We are proud to add Alitalia to our roster of airline partners approved to fly the CSafe RAP temperature-controlled system,” said Brad Jennings, vice president of global marketing and partner alliances for CSafe Global.

“With its state-of-the-art VIP insulation, innovative air recirculation system, and unique, autonomous temperature management programming, the CSafe RAP, in combination with Alitalia’s cargo service, ensures the safe delivery of temperature-sensitive, life-enhancing products to patients in need.”

The CSafe RAP has already successfully managed numerous temperature-sensitive and time-critical shipments around the world. With industry leading payload temperature protection for vital life-science shipments, CSafe is pleased to be able to offer Alitalia’s pharma customers added peace of mind.

Alitalia vice president of cargo, Antonio Temporini said “There is increasing demand for transport of temperature-sensitive healthcare products preserving their quality and value, and this enhanced partnership further allows us to offer innovative solutions to healthcare shippers for the protection and the integrity of their shipments.”

Many of the same leasing options currently available for the proven CSafe RKN are also available for the new CSafe RAP.  Customers may lease the CSafe RAP directly from Alitalia, or through one of CSafe’s other logistic partners.
