Air China chooses Menzies Aviation for cargo handling at LAX

Menzies Aviation at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) has signed a three-year cargo handling contract renewal with Air China Cargo.

The team will now deliver cargo warehousing, freighter handling, and passenger ramp services for the airline. This contract means that Menzies will continue to handle over 60,000 tonnes of cargo per year at LAX.

Menzies Aviation is now Air China’s largest supplier in LAX, where the airline operates up to 24 passenger and two to four freighter flights every week. The airline also chose Menzies LAX for its ramp services operations, beginning a three-year contract in September 2018, which represents 1,200 annual turns.

Vice president of sales and commercial, Paul Walton said: “We are delighted that Air China has decided to maintain its successful cargo handling relationship with Menzies Aviation.

“This renewal highlights our successful and longstanding partnership with the airline, and in particular, the great service that our cargo handling colleagues deliver.”
