Air Charter Service (ACS) has been placed 29th in The Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 list published in the 7 October issue of the weekly newspaper.
In the last financial year, the company’s sales grew by 39 per cent to £479 million.
The list, produced every year since 2004, ranks Britain’s top 250 mid-market private companies by their turnover over the previous year, from published accounts.
ACS finished higher placed than football clubs Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea. The 250 companies named on the list have a total revenue of £66.7 billion, and make up around three per cent of the UK’s GDP.
ACS first appeared in the league table in 2011 at number 158 after previously being earmarked ‘One To Watch’ two years earlier.
Group chief executive officer, Justin Bowman (pictured above) said: “We have featured on the list several times now, but to be in the top 30 is an amazing feat. It is recognition of our hard work and continued growth over the past few years. We are delighted with our new position as the highest placed aviation company and to rank above so many well-known brands.”
ACS has 23 global offices, spanning all six major continents and we offer private jet, commercial airliner and cargo aircraft charters, as well as onboard courier solutions.
