SF Airlines starts new B767F Shenzhen-Chennai route

SF Airlines started a Boeing 767-300 Freighter route on 5 August from Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport to the Indian city of Chennai – its 12th international link.

The move is part of the Chinese freighter carrier’s global expansion strategy and adds to new links recently started to Dhaka in Bangladesh and Hanoi in Vietnam.

The new Shenzhen to Chennai route is to meet customers’ demands in response to the state’s One Belt and Road Initiative to transport general cargo, mainly from Xiaomi Corporation.

These international routes have begun as SF Airlines said it has benefitted from the One Belt and Road Initiative, the stable growth of its fleet and the sustainable improvement of its operations.

Founded in 2009, fast-growing SF Airlines operates 45 freighters (B767s, B757s and B737s) in China and to international markets and it said it will “continuously expand” its network of global routes.
