FedEx Express to start regular services into San Bernardino

FedEx Express will start regular scheduled services into Californian gateway San Bernardino (SBD) International Airport with daily operations starting in October this year.

The US express freight carrier said the airport is ideally suited to support the logistics industry as it is located 60 60 miles east of Los Angeles along the I-10 corridor.

SBD has smooth access to interstate highways giving air freight operators like FedEx Express the ability to expedite deliveries to end users and consumers.

FedEx Express will occupy a 57,000 square foot facility under a 10-year agreement, and the activity will enhance its air cargo network while creating new jobs at the airport.

Mayor of the city of San Bernardino and San Bernardino International Airport Authority president, Carey Davis said the airport is excited about the expansion of FedEx at SBD as it serves as a “major contributor to the economic growth in San Bernardino”.
