Striking new Amazon Air freighter livery revealed

Amazon Air’s latest freighter and a new striking livery has been revealed on Twitter by the e-commerce giants senior vice president for operations, Dave Clark who tweeted “Welcome to the fleet”.

The aircraft is reportedly a Boeing 737-800BCF conversion and the passenger aircraft it was converted from was previously owned by China Southern Airlines.

Amazon Air already operates a fleet of 39 Boeing 767F’s through agreements held with Atlas Air and Air Transport International. One sadly crashed on 23 February in Texas.

The express carrier is set to add more freighters as it grows it operations. It operates its principal hub from Cincinnati/Norther Kentucky International Airport but has plans for a regional hub in Forth Worth Alliance Airport.
