Turkish Cargo becomes a member of Pharma.Aero

Turkish Cargo has joined Pharma.Aero which it said allows it to “raise the bar in pharmaceutical transportation”.

At a ceremony held at the TIACA Air Cargo Forum last month in Toronto, chief cargo officer for Turkish Airlines Turhan Özen was presented with a Pharma.Aero full membership certificate.

The carrier said: “Our successful operations continue to improve along with our high-quality standards for air cargo transportation in over 300 international destinations. We provide the highest shipment quality and special services for the transportation of pharmaceuticals and medical materials.

“The Pharma.Aero platform aims to integrate reliable end-to-end pharmaceutical transportation with the air cargo industry. It provides a coherent approach to operational excellence and risk management in pharmaceutical transportation, as well as to supply chain management, all while encouraging cooperation between its members.”

Pharma.Aero continues to grow its membership which now includes more than 20 airlines, cargo handlers, airports, freight forwarders, shippers and other parts of the supply chain.
