Kuehne + Nagel wins spare parts contract with Pratt & Whitney

Kuehne + Nagel has signed a new multi-year contract with aerospace manufacturer Pratt & Whitney to manage a 300,000 square foot military and commercial aftermarket spare parts distribution center in Atlanta.

The operation supplies aftermarket parts to Pratt & Whitney’s customers all over the world. Kuehne + Nagel said it is committed to assisting Pratt & Whitney in increasing logistics efficiency and improving overall customer satisfaction of its parts delivery.

With responsibility for the receipt, warehousing, and inventory control of over 40,000 aircraft engine parts, the Kuehne + Nagel team will leverage its KNPS lean management methodology to drive efficiencies and it said processes undergo regular analysis to enable cost reduction, cycle time improvements, and exceed Pratt & Whitney’s established performance guidelines.

Since 2017, Kuehne + Nagel has been operating a production logistics operation for Pratt & Whitney in West Palm Beach, Florida, to support its production plant. This latest contract is another step towards business expansion and strengthening the relationship.

Kuehne + Nagel North America president, Bob Mihok said: “We are extremely honored that Pratt & Whitney selected us once more to manage their spare parts in the US and we’re committed to meeting their strategic goals.
