DHL Express has started a new daily route connecting Vancouver (Canada) to its North American hub in Cincinnati to meet rising demand for services between Canada and the US.

The express carrier said inbound and outbound volumes to Vancouver increased by 38 and 10 per cent, respectively, since last year.

The German logistics heavyweight has seen increased demand for transportation of e-commerce products like clothing, consumer electronics, media products and pharmaceutical products.

DHL Express Canada chief executive officer, Andrew Williams said the new flight will help to meet the rising demand of US exporters and also create more opportunities for Vancouver’s small and medium-sized businesses to trade internationally.
