ANA adds Tokyo Haneda-Vienna belly route

Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA) is to expand its belly services to Europe with the launch of a new daily non-stop Boeing 787-9 route from Tokyo Haneda Airport to Vienna International Airport.

The Japanese carrier will start service on 17 February, 2019 and is part of a strategy through its joint venture partnership with Austrian Airlines, and the Lufthansa Group.

The addition of Vienna brings ANA’s total number of European non-stop flights to eight and marks the seventh city in Europe and the 44th city outside Japan to be served by ANA.

The carrier said demand for flights to Europe has increased in part due to the strengthened economic relationship between Japan and the European Union.
